GRAMMAR & FUNCTIONS (Explicación Sencilla)
En esta unidad aprenderás a identificar, apuntar y describir los objetos cotidianos y tecnológicos que te rodean usando los Artículos (A / An / The) y los Demostrativos (This / That / These / Those).
👜 Articles (A / An / The):

Usamos a antes de un sustantivo singular que comienza con sonido de consonante.
Examples:
- a phone
- a laptop
- a notebook
- a key
- a backpack
I have a laptop.
Tengo un computador portátil.
An
Usamos an antes de un sustantivo singular que comienza con sonido de vocal.
Examples:
- an apple
- an eraser
- an umbrella
- an old phone
I have an umbrella.
Tengo un paraguas.
⚠️ Important: We choose a or an according to the sound, not simply the first letter.
The
Usamos the cuando hablamos de algo específico o que ya sabemos de qué objeto estamos hablando.
I have a phone.
The phone is black.
Tengo un teléfono.
El teléfono es negro.
Primero presentamos el objeto:
a phone
Después hablamos de ese objeto específico:
the phone

Demonstratives
This, That, These, Those.
Los demostrativos nos ayudan a decir qué objeto estamos señalando o identificando.

This = este / esta
Usamos this para una cosa que está cerca.
This is my phone.
Este es mi teléfono.
That
That = ese / esa / aquel / aquella
Usamos that para una cosa que está lejos.
That is my backpack.
Esa es mi mochila.
These
These = estos / estas
Usamos these para varias cosas que están cerca.
These are my keys.
Estas son mis llaves.
Those = esos / esas / aquellos / aquellas
Usamos those para varias cosas que están lejos.
Those are my books.
Esos son mis libros.

Remember: Some words are usually used in the plural when we talk about the object:
glasses → lentes
headphones → audífonos
